VISTA 2025

Dear Members of the VISTA Community,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to attend the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) VISTA 2025 Conference. Due to extenuating circumstances, this Conference was necessarily delayed; however, we are grateful for your patience and continued commitment to the Paralympic Movement.

To maximize global participation and ensure the academic community has an opportunity to share important work, VISTA 2025 will be held online in both synchronous and asynchronous formats, enabling engagement from participants around the world. To encourage continued participation and welcome new members to the community, there is no registration fee for either presenters or attendees.

Considering the shift to an online format, not all initially scheduled sessions will be delivered. Instead, the Conference will feature six two-hour thematic sessions, each led by internationally recognized leaders in their respective fields and complemented by interactive discussions with experts. Individuals whose posters or oral presentations were previously scheduled have been invited to record their contributions, which will be made available for viewing by the broader VISTA community. During the virtual conference, we will recognize the recipient of the IPC Scientific Award.

Our goal remains unchanged: to support athletes, coaches, organizers, and the scientific and technical community that underpin the Paralympic Movement.

I sincerely hope you will join us, engage fully, and share your insights. Together, we aim to sustain this vibrant community and its momentum until we can gather again in person.

Sincerely,

Rory A. Cooper, PhD, PLY
Conference Chair
