Biography

Shantanu A. Satpute, M.S. is a currently a graduate student researcher at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories. He is working towards his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

Shantanu received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Pune, India. He received his M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh where he worked in the Visualization and Image Analysis (VIA) Laboratory, developing an assistive device for people deprived of sight. His research interests include haptics, computer vision, human-computer interaction, development of assistive technologies and ideation, and prototyping of medical devices.
