Biography

Breelyn Styler, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher. Her research interests include developing planning techniques that allow robot systems to evoke trust by being robust, adaptable and reliable in real environments. She is also interested in the direct user feedback of effective technology and the usability of integrated systems which include the role(s) of adjustable autonomy in user empowerment. Dr. Styler earned her degree in Computer Science (BS) from the University of Texas at Austin, and advanced (MS and PhD) degrees in Robotics from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Styler also has 7+ years of software industry experience.
