Committee Issues Employment Accessibility Report

The Allegheny 365 Committee, created by former Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato and co-chaired by HERL Director Dr. Rory A. Cooper, issued a report containing its recommendations for increasing opportunities for accessibility and employment for people with disabilities in Allegheny County on Monday, August 6.

The recommendations include the establishment of an office of employment accessibility and inclusion and setting goals for hiring more people with disabilities. According to a front-page article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, current Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said the report contains "a great deal of information that may be helpful in making improvements to our county, its employees and residents."
