2020 Summer/Fall Term Openings

A PhD student researcher is needed to develop new control and interaction methods for assistive robotic manipulators and evaluating them among individuals with severe physical disabilities. This position will be working with an interdisciplinary team of clinical and technical professionals. Applicants should have a background in engineering related disciplines and experience in developing robotic applications and preferably in programming robots using the ROS framework.  A PhD student researcher is needed to develop and evaluate smart home technology-based interventions for supporting independent living of people with disabilities. This position will be working with an interdisciplinary team of clinical and technical professionals. A PhD student researcher is needed to assist with various biomechanics and human movement analysis studies.  The position will entail working with motion capture equipment, force plates, and wearable sensors to collect and analyze data from wheelchair users and their caregivers.  Applicants should have a background in engineering, biomechanics, or clinical discipline (rehabilitation or exercise science, physical or occupational therapy).  Experience coding in Matlab, Python, C#, and Java, is a plus.
